Create a Transparent PNG Correctly
Understand alpha transparency and how to confirm that an exported PNG really has a transparent background.
A checkerboard shown in an editor usually represents transparent pixels; it is not part of the image itself. Transparent PNGs are useful for logos, stickers, product cutouts, and overlays that must sit on different backgrounds.
How to approach it
When exporting, choose a format that supports transparency and avoid flattening the image onto white unless that is the intended design. Open the file over both a light and a dark background to reveal pale fringes or unwanted pixels. Remember that some viewers display transparency as white even when it exists.
Checks before you share
Keep an untouched source file, inspect the exported copy at full size, and confirm that the result suits its intended use. If the image contains private information, check the entire frame and its metadata before publishing.
